There are strong magnets on the rear that attaches to the back of your tablet. It’s a definite looker, but because it’s not as securely fastened and is relatively thin, you’re not getting much protection. 

It’ll save your tablet from scratches, but a nasty drop at the wrong angle could be fatal.

But since the case uses a magnet, you can still easily attach the S-Pen to the inner side. 

The ZtotopCase also uses a standard PU leather material on the outside, lined with soft microfiber on the inside. The overall look of the case is stylish and sleek with no wasted space.

You can also prop up the case from two different angles. It’s pretty limited but should be sufficient for most people. Plus, the case can automatically detect when you open/close the case to wake up your tablet. 

Both are handy features for professionals and everyday users alike. 

Overall, we love how sleek and well-designed the case is. It’s perfect to shove into a bag crammed with stuff. It doesn’t take up much space but still has some scratch protection. 

It isn’t the most protective case against drops/bumps, but it’s better than no case at all.

The MoKo Trifold Case is pretty similar to the ZtotopCase, with the difference being it attaches directly to your tablet. It doesn’t use magnets and has a PC backshell to fit over the corners of the tablet. 

With these corners covered, the tablet is more securely fastened and has additional drop/bump protection. A definite plus for protection. Besides the PC backshell, the case uses PU leather on the exterior with a microfiber lining to protect the screen.

Since it’s a trifold case, there are two angles you can place the tablet it. One is a laid-down mode with the case bunching up for a comfortable drawing/writing angle. It can also be folded to prop up the tablet for watching videos/typing with a keyboard. 

Plus, there’s a built-in S-Pen holder to securely store your stylus. And since only the corners of the tablet are covered, you can still attach the S-Pen to the side. 

All in all, a very functional case with some decent protection. It also has a sleek design that doesn’t make the tablet too bulky, but personally, we’re not a fan of the raised edges on the corners since they don’t look as uniform as the ZtotopCase. 

Still, a very good case at a great price.

For anyone that needs a case to do more, the Fintie Keyboard Case is the perfect companion. This is a fantastic partner for both professionals and students since it comes with a keyboard. 

The case has a striking PU leather exterior and is lined with anti-slip rubber. The tablet fits into a separate backshell made of a TPU material, covering the entire tablet. Sadly, this means you can’t attach the S-Pen magnetically to the tablet. 

But there is an S-Pen holder to keep it in place.

In terms of protection, this is a more durable case than the MoKo or ZtotopCase since there are three layers fully covering the tablet. 

Moving on to the keyboard, it’s a solid keyboard for writing emails or essays. It has a full QWERTY keyboard and even includes an Esc button and a row of function keys to tablet shortcuts. 

You have media controls, a brightness and volume rocker, a lock button, and more.

The reason this keyboard case stands out though is the built-in trackpad. Most cases exclude a trackpad to keep costs down but a trackpad is very useful for doing work on a tablet. 

It changes the way you use a tablet and makes it feel like a proper laptop replacement.

Now, keep in mind the keyboard is not as well-designed or durable as laptop keyboards, but it’s still very functional. You just need to temper your expectations in case you’re expecting a premium typing experience. 

It gets the job done, but can feel inadequate for power users.

The Fintie Book Case is one of the most customizable cases we’ve seen so far. It has plenty of different colors to choose from, including patterns and two-tone designs. We know the tablet case market tends to gravitate toward boring, dated colors/designs.

So, if you were looking for a case that stands out from the usual black case, this might be the one for you.

While we initially picked this case for its numerous color options, the case itself is pretty good too. It’s a bookcase, similar to the Fintie Keyboard Case, and has a TPU backshell that covers the entire tablet. 

It also has a PU leather exterior with a microfiber lining. For the S-Pen, there’s a convenient holder on the case. But again, you won’t be able to connect the S-Pen magnetically to the tablet since it’s fully covered. 

Another great feature is the sizable Document/Card Pocket.

It’s located on the front of the case and can fit in a few business cards, papers, bills, and even some cash. But it might not be too secure since it can loosen over time, so, don’t put anything too valuable in there. 

To hold the tablet up, there are 3 anti-slip stripes for varying viewing angles. There’s also a magnet to automatically detect wake/sleep, but it isn’t strong enough to keep the tablet closed. It uses a physical elastic strap to keep the tablet in place.

That said, it’s a great case with a lot to love. There are plenty of colors/patterns to choose from, so if you were looking for a case that caters to your style, this is the one for you.

Spigen has been making cases for a long time and the Rugged Armor is a fan favorite. But contrary to other cases we’ve seen with a cover, this is a rear case without anything to cover the screen or prop the tablet up. 

This is the perfect case if you just want something to protect it but don’t like ‘flip’ cases. It’s still plenty durable and features Spigen’s Air Cushion technology that evenly distributes shock to lessen impacts from drops. 

The case is made of a flexible & durable TPU material with slightly raised edges on the front and raised bezels to protect the camera bump. The case covers the entire tablet and has an S-Pen holder on the side.

As a whole, this case is very slim and is perfect if you wanted a low-key case that doesn’t take up much space. But the obvious downside is you miss out on a kickstand for different viewing angles and there’s nothing protecting the screen. 

However, it’s still got plenty of drop/shock protection so if you’re set on not getting a flip case for your tablet, this is a great option.

If you need some heavy-duty protection for your tablet, the SUPCASE UB Pro Series is a case to check out. Unlike the other slim flip cases we’ve seen, this is a hefty & heavy case that protects the tablet all around. 

The case is made of multiple shock-resistant layers using  hard PC and TPU materials. The case is also MIL-STD 810G-516.6 rated so we know it’s a very durable case.

The case also includes fully covered ports for improved dust/water resistance and a built-in screen protector. You don’t see cases that include a screen protector often, so it’s definitely got you covered 360° against most accidents. 

But if you’re not sold on the screen protector, you can remove and replace it anytime. 

And SUPCASE includes a built-in kickstand on the rear so you can still watch movies at a comfortable viewing angle. Plus, there’s a section on the side that allows you to still use the S-Pen’s magnetic attachment. 

They’ve got a lot of the bases covered so you’re not missing out on many features. 

Overall, the SUPCASE UB Pro is one of the most durable cases on this list. But it doesn’t get that durability at the cost of features. You still have a kickstand, pen holder, and screen protection. 

Yes, it is a little heavier and looks like something out of a warzone, but it’ll protect your tablet against basically anything.

Next up, we’ve got the SIBEITU hand strap case, another durable case with a twist. This one has a 360° rotatable hand strap to hold up the case easily with one hand. So far, this is the only case we’ve featured to come with a strap. 

But there’s also a 360° rotating kickstand that works in both landscape and portrait mode. The kickstand is very adjustable so you can put it in many different viewing angles. And if you’re tired of carrying it, you can attach the included shoulder strap. 

Just clip on the straps and you can take the tablet out on the go. You don’t even have to worry about accidentally bumping the case. The case itself is a ‘rugged’ case that utilizes 3-layer protection.

It uses a hard, clear plastic shell and a protective polyurethane cover to absorb shock and bumps. On the front, there’s a built-in screen protector and frame to protect the edges of the screen. 

The entire case is pretty hefty so it’s going to take up some space. But it’s perfect for both kids and adults who need added protection and functionality. 

The SIBEITU hand strap case is one of the more durable options on the list, but it’s also one of the biggest. It’ll take up a lot of space in a bag and won’t be easy to use one-handed (without the strap). 

That said, it’s still a very functional case thanks to everything it includes along with the bigger size.

This is perfect for kids since they can easily bring the tablet around by carrying it with the handle. It can place in a number of viewing angles in either portrait or landscape mode so it’s great for watching videos or playing games. 

The case itself is made of 3 layers, including a TPU skin for a nice in-hand feel, a hard PC inner shell for protection w/ a kickstand, and another hard PC front cover. 

The front cover doesn’t have a screen protector like other options on the list, so you can apply your own. But all in all, a very sturdy case that’s sure to protect the tablet from your kid’s mischief. 

For the S-Pen, there’s a holder above the grip that’s secure. It can be a little finicky to take in and out of, but shouldn’t be a major problem. Also, there are a bunch of great colors to choose from including black, blue, red, green, grey, and pink. 

There’s also a variant that includes a hand strap like the SIBEITU case. 

Overall, we think this is an excellent case for kids and even adults. Usually, kids’ cases are needlessly big and have a physical handle at the top. This one is more sleek and recessed without losing functionality.
