I have had this question several times. “Ernests I copied something on my iPad, and it shows that it saved it to the clipboard, but I can’t find the clipboard anywhere on my iPad.” There is no clipboard on your iPad.

When you copy something, it’s stored in the clipboard, and when you paste it, it’s moved from the clipboard to wherever you’re pasting it.

I suggest using your Apple Notes app as a clipboard. Let me show you the best practice.

How To Copy & Paste on iPad

This works on both iPhones and iPads. Let me show you how you can copy and paste text on iPad and links and use your Notes app as a clipboard.

Start by selecting the text you want to copy. Tap anywhere and drag the blue dots until you highlight everything you need. Click on Copy from the menu that pops up.

Then, launch an app such as Notes. A Paste icon will appear on the keyboard. Tap on it, and your text will show up on the screen. If you select the text in the Notes app, three more icons will be shown on the top of the keyboard – cut, copy, and paste. Just like on PC, Windows or Android.

Can I Save Multiple Items on The iPad Clipboard?

Apple devices don’t have a built-in clipboard history, but there’s a workaround. Copy what you want, paste it into the Notes app. Then, copy the next thing you need, create a new note in the Notes app, and paste it there. You can use the Notes app as a clipboard substitute.

Avoid third-party apps; they can be buggy and time-consuming. Stick to the Notes app for this purpose.

Apple Notes is the best clipboard for iPad.

Cut, Copy, and Paste Between iPad & Other Apple Devices

The Mac Universal Clipboard lets you easily copy and paste between your Apple devices, like iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. You can copy something from one device and paste it on another.

To use it, make sure your devices have iOS 10 or higher, macOS Sierra, Bluetooth, the same Apple ID, and are on the same Wi-Fi network. They also need to be close to each other via Bluetooth. It’s handy if you work from home with your devices nearby.

I use this function all the time. I only have WhatsApp on my iPhone, and if someone sends me a link, I just copy it on my iPhone and paste it on my iPad or MacBook, It is very handy feature.
