Since the inception in 1938, Samsung has come a long way in the tech world. The firm stepped into the electronics sector in the year 1969 and launched its first phone in the year 1988 in Korea. Moreover, Samsung came up with its first smartphone in the year 2010, and since then, it has ruled the market with its high-end smart devices.
Samsung is also the smartphone brand to introduce innovative features like Dual Screen, 65K TFT / LCD Colours, Polyphonic Ringtones, rotating lens camera, and others. This is the reason it ranks among the top 5 mobile brands in the world.
If we talk precisely about Samsung tablets, the brand has recently added many different devices to its tablet family. Two of those prime products are Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7+. Display and Body
The very first feature that almost all of us look at in a tab is the display. Fortunately, the display of the S7+ tablet is 12-inch AMOLED that provides crystal clear, high contrast picture quality. The colors, no matter light or dark, pop out brilliantly. Moreover, the 1752 x 2800 pixels screen coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate makes it ideal for watching movies without any glitch.
On the other hand, the S7 version has an 11-inch LTPS TFT display that also displays vibrant colors in the best resolution. The screen resolution is 1600 x 2560 pixels with a refresh rate of 120Hz, just like the S7+. The best thing about the S7 model is the feasibility of using it outdoors.
Both the tablets have a glass front with an aluminum back and frame.
The performance of the tablet is a crucial feature to consider if you are planning on buying one. If we talk about Samsung S7 and S7+, the tablets are backed by some brilliant aspects that enhance the overall functioning.
The S7 version, just like the S7+, is powered by an octa-core processor backed by a Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865+ chipset. Along with this, both the tablet variants feature an Adreno 650 GPU that elevates the viewing experience of the users.
The key difference between the two tablet variants is the upgradability. On the one hand, the S7 version features Android 10, but it cannot be upgraded to Android 11. In contrast, the S7+ variant carries Android 10 OS, which can be easily upgraded to Android 11 if required.
For all of those, who are fond of clicking pictures, watching Netflix, and playing high-end games, these two tabs will be the best bet for you.
Both Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7+ have a dedicated microSDXC slot that can easily adjust a card of 1TB. Hence, a lot of space for your stuff. Moreover, both of these tablets also have internal storage varying from 128 – 512 GB based on your budget.
Just like both of these tabs are packed with ample storage, they also come in variants based on the volatile memory, RAM. The variants of both of these models are available in 6GB or 8GB RAM version. So, choose anyone you like. Both of them will deliver you remarkable gaming and viewing experience.
No matter how brilliant and high-performing features your tablet has, they are of no utility until you have power.
As far as the battery of the tablets is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is powered by an 8000mAh Li-Po battery and the S7+ has a 10090 mAh battery. To make things easy for you, Samsung provides you with the 18W charger in the box that offers fast charging of 45W.
If we talk about the runtime of the batteries, the battery of both S7 and S7+ can easily run for 14-15 hours under normal use, such as watching videos. As far as the charging duration is concerned, the S7 variant can be charged from the dead in 3 hours, whereas the S7+ can be charged from 0 to 100 in 4 hours. Thanks to the fast charging feature!
For lovers of photography, both the S7 and S7+ versions have some cool camera features. One of those cool aspects is a rear camera of 13 MP and 5 MP. The 13 MP camera is a wide one (26 mm), whereas the 5 MP is ultrawide (12 mm). The combination of both of these cameras delivers marvelous pictures.
Other than the rear camera, the tablets are also equipped with an 8 MP front camera, which is ideal for your quick selfies.
With the front camera, you can record 1080p videos at 30fps. On the other hand, the rear camera of the tablets allows you to record super crisp 4k videos at 30fps. So, you own a whole package for your showcasing your photography and videography skills.
Apart from all these features, there are many others that make the purchase of Samsung Tabs worth it.
- S Pen: One of those features is the Stylus S Pen that comes included with both the tablet variants. You can make designs, drawings, and other graphics with the help of the ergonomically designed S Pen. You can easily secure your S Pen at the back of your tablet on a magnetic strip.
- Keyboard: Both the variants, S7 and S7+, also come with an optional keyboard. Now, unlike the S Pen, the keyboards of both variants vary by a small detail. The keyboard that comes with the S7 model does not feature function keys, whereas the S7+ variant has a function row on its keyboard.
- DeX: This is one of the innovative features of the recent Samsung tablets. DeX allows the users to use their tablets to create a windows-like desktop environment for work purposes. You can connect your tablet to any screen via the HDMI cable. Or you can also cast the screen on your tablet on the PC or TV.
The key pro of this feature is that you can run multiple apps side by side. Moreover, the file transfer becomes extremely easy via DeX. Both the models feature the DeX feature.
- Sound: Get crisp output sound, thanks to the four stereo speakers.
Other than this, both S7 and S7+ have a handy, lightweight design that makes it easy to carry across locations.
Which one is best for you?
As you have gone through the comprehensive review of both the tablets, it is time to shortlist one. You can either do this on the basis of the features that you need, provided you have a loose budget. But if you have a tight budget, go for the one that has minimalistic features.

If you need solid and high-end features, go for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, although S7 is also a good choice if you can compromise on the display. S7 has an LCD display, whereas the S7+ has an OLED display.
If money is not an issue, you can choose the top-end model with all the features. Be noted that the keyboard does not come in the box. You need to purchase it separately.
Choosing a tablet can be a bit tricky if the choices are close by. As both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ vary by minor features, it can be even tougher. But, after going through this guide, you will be able to make the best choice. Our recommendation leans towards S7+ of course, due to the OLED display and the performance is a bit better, so you can do more with it, the movies, videos will be more enjoyable, but of course, the price also increases with that, if you plan to use it as a second device, maybe the best option would be S7 instead.
