Apple postponed iPadOS 16 release date multiple times. On 2022 October 24, it was finally released to the public.
With a few new features making, the iPad a more desirable choice.
- Stage Manager
- External Displays
- Zoomed Out Displays
- Weather App
- Undo A Message
- Apple Maps
All we need now is a Calculator app to make the iPad complete. With all of these new features, your iPad needs more processing power to be able to handle it, and some of the older iPads won’t be able to update to iPadOS 16.

Summary
iPads are not forever. Eventually, they will get old and won’t be usable anymore. But just because your iPad isn’t compatible with the latest iPadOS doesn’t mean it’s obsolete. You can still use your iPad with the old iPadOS, and it will be capable of many things. You just won’t be able to update some of the apps, and you will have to work with an older version of it.
Is this ideal? No! But it’s sometimes,s it’s better than buying a new device.
I love tech and all about it. I'm interested in finding ways how they can make my life more productive, and I share my knowledge with my blog readers. I'm an iPad Pro, iPhone, MacBook, and Apple Watch user, so I know a thing or two about these devices and try to write helpful content around these topics.
