Best LTE Tablets(with SIM cards)

When you buy a tablet it sort of becomes a part of you and you like to carry it with you everywhere. But the most significant limitation which we face is the internet connectivity, which prevents us from using them on the go.

With the advancement of technology now we can use the gadgets with the internet connectivity on the move. 5G/4G LTE is the technology that helps us use these devices for navigation on a road trip or in a restaurant where WIFI signals are weak.

Buying an LTE tablet is not an easy task for everyone out there, as we cannot just go and buy any random LTE tablet just because of internet connectivity.

It sometimes becomes tricky to select an appropriate product for our own needs. We are not sure about our requirements or the technicalities associated with the products, which wastes your hard-earned money.

So, here we are helping you understand the requirements for LTE technology, such as battery time, processing power, enhanced ram, higher GPU, and compatible software.

Why we ranked iPad Pro above Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 ultra:

Both iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra are premium tablets, but the reason for which we have placed the iPad pro above the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is because of the following reasons:

  • Processing power: Although both the tablets have top-of-the-line processors, the M1 chip built-in iPad Pro provides an edge over any Android tablet. This chip can perform 15x faster operations.
  • Machine Learning and AI compatible:  iPad Pro has a built-in 16 core neural processing unit that makes it more machine learning & AI friendly. Because of this, it can perform 11 trillion operations per second.
  • Unmatchable Storage Capacity: iPad Pro comes with up to 2 TB storage which no other android tablet offers.
  • Centre Stage Technology: Another offering of the iPad Pro is its camera’s center stage technology, which focuses on the user if he is moving around during a video call.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 ultra offers a gigantic screen, this feature sometimes becomes a curse instead of an advantage as traveling with such a large device kills its portability. We might carry our laptops instead of this tablet.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How fast is LTE compared to Wi-Fi?

Both are wireless technologies with different data rates, but theoretically, the Wi-Fi standard is much faster than LTE or LTE advance.

Although the bandwidth depends on many factors such as interference, Cell size, Signal to noise ratio, etc., for the sake of understanding, Wi-Fi can reach 2.4 Gbps with 802.11ax standard. At the same time, the peak data rate of LTE advance is 1Gbps which also depends upon the category of receiving device.

Can I use an LTE tablet without a sim card?

Yes, you may use any tablet without a sim card as most tablets come with only Wi-Fi functionality, so when they can work without LTE or sim card, why not an LTE tablet that does not have a sim card.

Will my phone sim work on my tablet?

The answer to this question is not as simple as it seems to be. If you use an LTE-based tablet that only allows data connectivity, your phone sim won’t work on the pill because it requires an LTE data sim.

But if the sim has both the functionalities of cellular + data, then it will work on both. The thumb rule is that the data sim won’t work on the phone, and the cellular only sim won’t work on the tablet. Your mobile operator defines these specifications, so if it allows cellular + data, that LTE sim will work for both devices.

Does my tablet have a phone number?

No, your tablet does not possess a phone number. It is the sim that identifies us with the help of a dialing number. So if we have a sim-operated tablet with the calling-related installations on the chip, we can have a phone number after inserting the cellular sim.

Although we have listed down the best LTE tablets available in this article, the choice is entirely yours. Before selecting any LTE tablet, all we can suggest is to perform an unbiased assessment of your needs.

If you ask for our recommendation, go with the iPad Pro 5th Gen as it has all our essential features, but you should keep the budget in mind.

Our second pick is Samsung S8 Ultra, but it has a huge screen which sometimes bothers us. Considering the budget constraint, we can also go for Lenovo P12 Pro.

Still, the choice is yours; we can only recommend the best option in our opinion.
